Trick To Hide WhatsApp Pictures From Android Gallery App
- Launch the file manager app you have already installed. Currently we’re using the ES File Explorer.
- Go-to to your own Android WhatsApp folder. It is more probable on /sdcard, as in below image below you can see. Click on WhatsApp and after that Media.
- Next you need to go into the WhatsApp images folder and then click “+” icon from bottom-left. It will pop up the New “Add” box where you need to click the “File“.
- Create a new file named .nomedia and the click OK. You will get the message indicating that .nomedia is created.
- Go-to your gallery app where you will find the that the WhatsApp folder has been disappeared without any trace. If this type of freaks gets you out of trouble, all you have to do is just delete the currently created file called .nomedia. The clever among you will see that there’s no file with the name .nomedia inside the WhatsApp images folder. All you have to do is just enable the hidden files from your installed Android file manager. In ES file manager all you need to do is simply tap the small blue colored icon on top-left corner (the globe and phone), then scroll here to find the on/off toggle option to “Show hidden files”. Turn-on this little option.
- Now if you open your WhatsApp images folder you will find the hidden files here. Simply press down the file called .nomedia for long and then delete it. And now the WhatsApp images will appear again in your Android gallery app. Remember to turn-off the hidden files option if you never want to show all of them in every single folder of your Android file manager.
