Apple now seeded the OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 Beta 1 for testing and they provide this beta to developer. This 1st beta of Yosemite 10.10.5 tagged with a build number 14F6a, is offered through Apple Dev Center and Update tab in App Store for all those who are registered developers.
This new Yosemite beta comes just after two weeks of public release of OS X 10.10.4 Yosemite. Contemplating the OS X El Capitan the next desktop platform release is few months away.
OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 Beta 1 Seeded To Developers
There is no new features except some under the hood bug-fixes. The OS X 10.10.5 beta 1 official release notes showing that:
“The OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 update improves the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac”.
Apple Dev Program members can get this beta software via OS X Software Update Seed Configuration Utility, and if this Utility isn’t available on your Mac then simply log-on with Developer account and then download this utility.
OS X 10.10.5 beta 1 is available for following Macs:
- iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
- Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
- MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
- MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
- MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
- Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
- Xserve (Early 2009)
On June 30 the OS X 10.10.4 released along with iOS 8.4 with Apple Music support, has settled down most of the Wi-Fi problems by upgrading the major networking issue ‘Discoveryd’.
