iOS 7.0.4 Upgrade is Safe to Jailbreak
Following today morning’s iOS 7.0.4 release, many people are confused whether they should upgrade to new iOS 7.0.4 or not becuase they have so many questions in their mind about the safety of the updating to newer iOS version and those who’re wishing to jailbreak their devices in near future. The goof news is that iOS 7.0.4 upgrade is safe to jailbreak as it’ll not prevent you from jailbreak.
Musclenerd, person in the evad3rs team who are taking care of iOS 7 jailbreak, mentioned that this update is safe for all those who intend to jailbreak their devices, if having iOS 7 already.
He also added that the users who are on jailbroken devices with iOS 6 should avoid iOS 7.0.4 still, because there is no chance to go back.

Those at 7.x waiting for JB, maybe treat 7.0.4 as exercise in restraint. Won’t affect JB if you slip up, but test your ability to avoid it!

…but for those enjoying the 6.x JB, avoid 7.0.4 . There’s no going back (always worth saying that for sake of JB newbies)

Since the iOS 7.0.4 is a small release, it is impossible to fix any significant gaps that might be used in the future jailbreak, and hence considered safe to update, if already having the iOS 7.0.x.
The news flash, that was first busted by the hacker iH8sn0w, has been verified soon after the MuscleNerd, despite the fact that his tweet is a bit more obscure and contained the suggestion to avoid it.
