Apple really give some happiness to non-developers by giving the option to sideload apps on iOS via Xcode 7. It is not very much user friendly solution but relatively simple and it also enables the iOS user to install Kodi on their own iPhone, iPad without any jailbreak. How-To Install Kodi On iPhone, iPad Running iOS 9
Before starting Kodi installation you need:
- OS X machine
- Download Xcode 7 (Apple’s own development environment ) from Mac App Store
- And Apple Developer account
- iOS App Signer utility DanTheMan827
- Kodi deb files
- Download both DanTheMan827, Kodi deb files and save these on desktop
- Connect your iPhone, iPad to Mac machine, and launch Xcode 7, from main screen create a new Xcode application with a unique name such as “Kodi” and unique identifier
- Select your existing team under Team drop down field, or simply sign-in with your existing Apple ID. If you find a button says Fix, simply click this to fix any profile issues
- Now simply launch the iOS App Signer and here browse for Kodi.deb file and select this double clicking on this. Also select the Provisioning Profile and Signing Certificate and then hit the start button. An IPA file with Kodi.ipa will be created on desktop
- Now again switch back to Xcode, and from menu bar click Window and then select Devices
- From the available list of device select your own iOS device then click the “+” icon and select the Kodi.ipa file from desktop
- The Kodi app will be sideloaded on your iOS device.
The moment the Kodi is install on your iPhone , iPad simply disconnect your device from the Mac OS X machine. The installation of Kodi.IPA may take sometimes.
