Instructions to Change iPhone, iPad or iPod Backup Location in iTunes
Step 1. First of all, go to Start->Run->Type CMD
Step 2. Now in the command window type the following and hit the Enter button from your keyboard:
cd “%APPDATA%\Apple Computer\MobileSync”
Step 3. Now you need to rename your old backup folder by typing the following commands:
ren Backup Backup_Old
Step 4. Now type the following commands to create a new directory for storing your Backups from iTunes for your IOS device.
Step 5. After creating a new directory for your Backups, type the following commands, to create a symbolic link to the new directory.
mklink /J “%APPDATA%\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup D:\temp\Backup”
Step 6. To verify your symbolic link, use Windows Explorer, there you will notice an arrow at the bottom, as shown in the below image.
