Yesterday Pangu 8.0-8.1.x Untether 0.2 update released to fix the Cydia Substrate loading issue after a reboot, Safari crashes and iMessage picture sending issue, and now the iOS 8 – 8.1 Cydia Substrate 0.9.5015 update has been released.
Initially this update was included both in Pangu app and Cydia. But after some serious issues faces by the users during rebooting who already jailbreak their iOS 8 devices with Pangu untethered jailbreak saurik removed the update from Cydia.
But users who didn’t get these update just after installing Cydia on their iOS 8 jailbroken devices and reporting the passcode issue which bring a bootloop.
How To Fix Passcode Issue With iOS 8.x Jailbreak
As this is not an official way to fix the issue but it really works for some users and as not recommended by any official jailbreak so proceed with caution.
- You need to jailbreak your iOS 8.x device using Pangu, and disable any passcode or Touch ID
- From home tap the Pangu app to and then install OpenSSH
- Download a zip file from here, which includes the required files to install the Cydia along with patch ti fix the passcode boot loop problem
- Just transfer two Cydia files to device’s /private/var/root/ directory
- Execute commands given below by via Send-> Command:
dpkg --install cydia-lproj_1.1.12_iphoneos-arm.deb
cydia_1.1.13_iphoneos-arm.deb
- Reboot your iOS device
- Go-to /usr/libexec/cydia/ and just replace the file called move.sh with patched file move.sh provided in the zip file which is downloaded in step 3
- Reboot the device again
- From home screen tap on Cydia to open and carry out any available updates
- And install the Activator tweak which will install all the required Substrate files also
- Now give a pass-code to your jailbroken device by going into Settings -> Passcode
- Reboot once again
If this time the device booted with no reboot loop, congrats! You successfully fix Passcode issue with iOS 8.x jailbreak.
