Although, you can turn off this feature / disable it. And this very simple and easy.
In order to do this:
- Go to Settings
- Tap on Privacy
- Tap on Photos
- Now turn off the switch for WhatsApp
Whenever, if someone delivers you an image or a video clip, it remains within WhatsApp. So you can view them but it will not display in your camera roll. Generally, it does not get moved there preserving you a lot of mess and sometimes, some discomfort.
After the installation of WhatsApp, the app will demands authorizations to access your Pictures. If you convert it down here, you will not have to fear about WhatsApp pictures and video clip getting duplicated to your camera roll.
You can still see the images/videos sent by a person by hitting on the Info button which can be found on top right of a chat screen and from there you can View all of your media.
WhatsApp generally downloading pictures instantly but allows you to choose to obtain video clips. And when you have downloaded, they live inside WhatsApp. If the app has authorized to access Images, it helps you to save them to the camera roll also. Turn down that permission, and you are in the clear.
Turning off the Privacy for Images for WhatsApp particularly allows in keeping your camera roll less messy but also allows in decreasing the size of your camera roll album.
